Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the network launches.

We are separating the intended operating model from claims that can only be confirmed after supplier, payment and legal configuration.

Customers

Is the Simao Charge network live now?

The London launch network is currently under development and venue applications are open. We will publish live locations only after approved equipment, payment configuration, testing and final customer terms are in place.

Will I need to download an app?

The intended journey is QR-first and designed to minimise friction. The final access method will depend on the contracted station and payment setup and will be confirmed before public launch.

How much will a rental cost?

The binding price, any daily cap, temporary authorisation and material non-return charge will be shown before the customer accepts. Illustrative figures on planning materials are not live prices.

What is a temporary security authorisation?

A payment provider may temporarily reserve an amount on the customer’s card. It is not intended to be a business deposit and should be released under the disclosed return rules.

Where can I return the power bank?

The service is intended to allow return at an available compatible slot in a participating station. A live location map and any network limits will be provided when the service launches.

Venue partners

What type of venue is suitable?

Lounges, bars, restaurants, hotels, barbers, gyms, entertainment venues, events and other staffed high-footfall locations with customer dwell time may be suitable.

Does the venue have to buy the station?

Our intended approved-pilot model does not require the venue to purchase the station hardware. The signed venue agreement will confirm the actual commercial arrangement, responsibilities and any costs.

How much work does the venue take on?

The model is designed to be managed by Simao Charge. The venue provides the agreed placement, ordinary power and access, while the written agreement allocates monitoring, support, maintenance and reporting responsibilities.

How does the venue earn?

Approved venues may receive an agreed share of cleared rental revenue attributed to their station. There is no guaranteed income; performance depends on real customer usage and the signed terms.

What happens if usage is low?

The purpose of a measured pilot is to learn. We may improve visibility, adjust placement, reposition the station or end the pilot rather than leave an unproductive asset in place.

Referrers and company

Does it cost anything to become a referrer?

No. The programme is free and one-tier. There is no joining fee, membership purchase or downline.

Can I earn by recruiting other referrers?

No. Rewards are linked only to a validated venue introduction that contracts, launches and produces qualifying cleared rentals.

Are referral earnings guaranteed?

No. An introduction alone does not create a reward, and no level of earnings is promised. Eligibility, attribution, qualifying rentals and payout rules are set out in the referrer agreement.

Who operates Simao Charge?

Simao Charge is operated by SIMAO GLOBAL LIMITED, company number 16740637, registered in England and Wales at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
